Dear God depicts a romantic Jerusalem, told through the eyes of Aaron, a simple man who guards the historic Wailing Wall. One day a beautiful, mysterious woman puts a note in one of the holy drones, and Aaron decides to fulfill her deepest wish, while learning that love is all about communication.

Playing as part of the Shorts Program Casting Out

Guy Nattiv is an acclaimed writer/director from Tel Aviv, Israel. His first feature, Strangers, premiered at the Sundance and Tribeca Film Festivals in 2008. His second feature, The Flood (Mabul) won the top prize at the Berlin Film Festival in 2011, two awards at the Thesaloniki film festivals, best film at Haifa Film Festival and was nominated for 6 Israeli Academy Awards. His latest film, Magic Men (with Erez Tadmor), is the 2015 WJFF Opening Night feature and was shot in Greece.

 

Born in 1974, Erez Tadmor Is a writer/director from Tel-Aviv, Israel. His First feature “Strangers” (with Guy Nattiv) was based on the short accepted to the Sundance in 2007. A Matter of Size, his second film, (Directed with Sharon Maymon) was overweight people relating to their bodies through the world of sumo. A Matter of Size Won in Audience Award at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2009, and Best Comedy at Traverse City Film Festival.
