A story that touches all bases: a heart-pounding sports drama, an exploration of Jewish identity, and a touching testament to the promise and ideals of the State of Israel.

Heading Home follows an underdog Israeli national baseball team that qualifies—for the first time ever—for the World Baseball Classic. Their roster includes several Major League players (Ike Davis, Ryan Lavarnway, Josh Zeid), most of whom haven’t had much exposure to Judaism, let alone been to Israel. Accompanied by their Mensch on the Bench mascot, the group sets out to achieve the impossible.
