| In
this hilarious spoof of Jewish and Christian stereotypes, Leon, an
observant Jewish kid from London finds out that his biological father is
actually a Yorkshire pig farmer. He seeks out his birthparents who try
their best to make Leon feel at home by learning Yiddish and finding
recipes for chicken soup. Considered the first Jewish comedy feature to
come out of Britain, Leon the Pig Farmer had its American premiere
at the opening night of the Washington Jewish Film Festival in 1992. |
