A classic exploration of heterosexual male behavior, Carnal Knowledge details the sexual misadventures of Jonathan (Jack Nicholson) and Sandy (Art Garfunkel) from their days as college boys in the 1940s through advancing middle age in the 1970s. Adapted by Jules Feiffer from his play of the same title, the films features a stellar supporting cast of the women in Jonathan and Sandy 's lives, including Candace Bergen, Ann-Margaret, Cynthia O'Neal, Rita Moreno and Carol Kane.
