GET THE LATEST DC JEWISH FILM INFORMATION BY EMAIL

WJFF News is the email listserv of The Washington Jewish Film Festival.  WJFF News is the latest development in our efforts to keep our audience informed!  WJFF News carries up-to-date information about WJFF, upcoming screenings of The Screening Room (our year-round repertory Jewish film and video program), other area film events, news, and Internet resources of interest.   Subscription to this list is free and open to all interested parties.

Subscriptions are handled by an automated system known as LISTPROC.  LISTPROC is a computer, not a human.  Subscription and user configuration commands must be sent as email messages according to a specific format.  Any extraneous text (no signature files, hard returns, or questions, please!) or improperly formatted commands in your email message will be ignored by LISTPROC and will result in error messages being sent to you in return.  When sending a command message via email, type whatever you want in the "Subject" field, as this information will be ignored by LISTPROC.  Commands can be uppercase or lowercase, it does not matter.

To SUBSCRIBE, send an email message to [email protected] with only the words SUBSCRIBE WJFFNEWS FIRSTNAME LASTNAME all on one line in the body of the message, where FIRSTNAME LASTNAME are your real, full name.  Your email address will be maintained confidentially by DCJCC staff for the sole purpose of conducting WJFF business and will not be released to anyone else for any reason.  Your email address will not be displayed in email that is sent out by WJFF.

To UNSUBSCRIBE from WJFFNEWS, send an email message to [email protected] with only the words UNSUBSCRIBE WJFFNEWS all on one line in the body of the message.  Unsubscribe requests must be sent from the email account that you originally subscribed under.

To CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS, send an UNSUBSCRIBE message from your OLD account, then send a SUBSCRIBE message from your NEW account.  Note that there are consequences if you fail to keep LISTPROC updated with your current email address: email which bounces back to WJFF due to an invalid address will cause your subscription to be automatically deleted by the system.

More detailed information about using LISTPROC is available in the system INFO file. If you are unfamiliar with LISTPROC, it is recommended that you request this INFO file before you use the system for the first time.  It contains information about LISTPROC's features and user services (including subscriber instructions and information about automated, interactive retrieval of list archives).  To retrieve the latest copy of this INFO file at any time, send an email message to [email protected] with only the words INFO WJFFNEWS all on one line in the body of the message.

Our listserv is hosted by Shamash: The Jewish Internet Consortium.  Shamash hosts many other Jewish-themed lists which are sure to be of interest.  Please refer to the system INFO file for further information.

You can also sign up for WJFF News, and configure many user options for your subscription, by using our interactive listserv subscription form.  (If you use this form, do not change the "list name" or "list request address" fields, and only perform one subscription function at a time.)

If you need technical assistance in signing up for our listserv, please contact our Web Team at [email protected]

If you would like to be placed on the WJFF paper mailing list to receive notices about upcoming events, please fill out our on-line paper mailing list request form.

You can contact WJFF Staff by sending email to [email protected] or by calling 202.777.3248

Thank you for your interest in the Washington Jewish Film Festival!
