Winner of the "Best Screenplay Award" at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, The Seattle International Film Festival and OutFest, the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Hit and Runway is a smart comedy about filmmaking and friendship. Alex is a hunky Italian-American stuck working in his family’s restaurant. He’s got a great idea for a shoot-em-up action/adventure movie but not a clue about how to actually write the script. Enter Elliot, a gay New York Jew and talented playwright who agrees to collaborate with him if Alex sets him up with the cute waiter who works at the restaurant. But, before they can tackle the script, they’ll have to learn how to talk to one another. The film moves the characters beyond the stereotypes without ever becoming preachy. The film is filled with razor-sharp dialogue co-written by director Christopher Livingston and stand-up comic Jaffe Cohen of the comedy trio "Funny Gay Males".
With Free Pre-Screening Dessert Reception at 9:30 pm, Saturday, December 11, at DCJCC.  Sponsored by Congregation Bet Mishpachah, The Gay and Lesbian Synagogue of Washington DC and Reel Affirmations, Washington DC’s International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.  For more information and to RSVP for the reception (by December 8), please contact David Seth Rachleff at 202-544-3279 or [email protected]
