A deeply personal journey through one of the world's most spiritual places, Fragments*Jerusalem takes us on an epic voyage through Jerusalem. Told in seven chapters, this experimental documentary reveals the history of the city through a combination of archival clips, drawings, stunning original footage, and personal reflections of the filmmaker, Ron Havilio. The film includes seemingly isolated segments from the filmmaker's personal life, family history, and the city's historical development. An artist as well as a filmmaker, Havilio has a painterly approach to documentary. Fragments*Jerusalem promises to be a fascinating afternoon excursion through time and space. (Film note by Erica Ginsberg)
