Narrative
Based on true events of the investigations that lead to the Frankfurt Auschwitz trials in the 1960’s.
Frankfurt, 1958: Germany is finally on a path to economic recovery and nobody wants to look back to the time of the Nazi regime.
The young prosecutor Johann Radmann comes across documents that help put on trial members of the SS who served in Auschwitz, but is stonewalled by authorities at every turn. The horrors of the past and the modern day hostility against his work bring Johann to the point of meltdown. It is nearly impossible for him to find his way through this maze: everybody seems to have been guilty or involved.
