The Washington Jewish Film Festival
invites submissions from filmmakers of features, documentaries and shorts
on the broadest range of topics in the Jewish experience for possible
inclusion in its 16th Festival. The WJFF presents films that push the
envelope and defy the expectations of a “Jewish” film by telling previously
untold stories from the most unlikely places. Films on traditional themes
(the Holocaust, Israel, Jewish history, the immigrant experience) are
also included with emphasis placed on innovative style and excellence
of production. Audience awards are presented for features, shorts and
documentaries. A Works-in-Progress sidebar will consider films with
a short preview reel completed. Priority in selection is given to premieres.
