The Brian Epstein Story
traces the rise and fall of the man behind the biggest cultural revolution
of our times: The Beatles. As their manager, Brian Epstein's early life was
fraught with failures. By 1963, despite his internal struggle around his homosexuality
and his Jewish identity, he became the most successful pop manager in history,
with clients like The Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Cilla Black, Billy
J. Kramer and The Dakotas. Director Anthony
Wall's film investigates the life and mind of one of the greatest agents
of 60's change and one of its first tragedies. Chock full of Beatle concert
footage, the film features interviews with Paul McCartney, Marianne Faithfull,
Gerry Marsden, Billy J. Kramer, George Martin and readings from Epstein's
journal by rising star, Jude
Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley).
