Israel, 1999, Video, 96 minutes
While celebrating his birthday party with friends and family, Aaron Cohen is suddenly hauled off by the police on the grounds that he owes child support. Despite his frail health and his daughter's frantic attempts to bail him out, Aaron is forced to spend the night behind bars. Indifferent guards, an over-crowded cell and an infected ulcer thrust Aaron into a Kafkaesque nightmare with tragic consequences. Starring renowned Israeli actor Moshe Ivgi (Cup Final, Lovesick On Nana Street), Aaron Cohen's Debt is a powerful, fact-based, Israeli TV drama about police brutality and bureaucratic ineptness. Welcoming Remarks Special Guest Co-sponsored by the Embassy of Israel
