Film is one of the most important ways we preserve and celebrate our culture. It
also provides an accessible medium to explore our similarities and differences with
others. And, ultimately, it enables us to recognize the larger concerns which
connect us all.
The Washington Jewish Film Festival: An Exhibition of International Cinema, presented by the District of Columbia Jewish Community Center's Morris Cafritz Center for the Arts, is one of the largest and most important Jewish film festivals in the United States. It is eight days of films, guests, discussions, parties, and musical events! The 10th annual festival will be held December 2-12, 1999.
The Screening Room is WJFF's year-round film salon, bringing the finest in new and classic Jewish film and video to Washington at the DCJCC on a repertory basis throughout the year.
